Giovanni Dosi
Giovanni Dosi obtained his PhD in Economics at University of Sussex (UK) in 1983 and from 1998 is a professor of Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa (Italy), where he coordinates the International Doctoral Program in Economics and leads the Laboratory of Economics and Management (LEM). He is one of the mayor experts on a global scale in areas like the Economy of the Innovation and technological change, industrial engineering and industrial dynamics, as well as theory of the company and corporate governance. Giovanni Dosi is also visitor teacher in the Manchester University (UK), as well as publisher of Continental Industrial Europe of and Corporate Change and codirector of a group of investigation in industrial policy and intellectual property inside the project Initiative for Policy Dialogue, directed by Joseph Stiglitz and with base in Columbia University New York.
He has published more than 100 articles in international journals and he is inside 5 % in the ranking of the investigators most quoted in Economics (REPEC) on a global scale, that gives us an indication of the impact of its investigative activity.
Cars Hommes
Cars HOMMES obtained his PhD in Mathematical Economics in 1991 at University of Groningen. From 1999, he is a professor in Economic Dynamics at University of Amsterdam. In 1998 he obtained prestigious Pionier-grant of the Netherlands Organization of Scientific Research (NWO) to found the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics in Economics and Finance (CeNDEF). Cars Hommes is a world expert in not linear dynamics, evolutionary dynamics, behavioral economics and finance, expectations and learning, limited rationality and experimental economics, being particularly known for his work with William Brock (University of Wisconsin, USA), in the development of a theory of heterogeneous expectations and its applications in economy and finance. The group CeNDEF have contributed in particular to test the hypothesis of rational expectations both at empirical and experimental level. From 2002, Cars Hommes is one of the publishers of Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and member of the editorial board of Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of Nonlinear Science, Computational Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization and the Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination.
He has published in journals like Econometrica, Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Mathematical Economics. Cars Hommes is inside 5 % in the ránking of the investigators most quoted in Economy (REPEC) on a global scale, that gives us an indication of the big impact of its investigative activity.
Silvano Cincotti
Silvano CINCOTTI is professor in economics and financial engineering at University of Genoa, Italy. He has a master's degree title in computer engineering from the University of Genoa and a doctorate on Bioengineering from the Politecnico di Milano. His main investigation interests are economic and financial engineering, multi-agents models, science of the complex systems and its applications. Silvano Cincotti is author of more than 150 international scientific publications. He is the leader of the laboratory of “Complex Systems” in the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Biofisica e Elettronica (DIBE) and he leads the group of investigation I2 – Interdisciplinary Innovation. He is a co-founder and chief of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Economics and Financial Engineering (CINEF) and of the Center for Research on Organization, Economics and Management Disciplines (DOGE.I)).
Silvano Cincotti is a member of the editorial board of Journal of Economic Interaction and Coordination, International Journal of Automation and Computing and International Journal on Complexity Economics. He has directed important projects as EU IST-FET Project EURACE (2006-09) and member of the EU NEST Project COMPLEXMARKETS (2005-08). Also, he belongs to the Society for Computational Economics (SCE), the Society for the Economic Sciences of Heterogeneous Interacting Agents (ESHIA) and to the IEEE.
